Quirk-Silva gets backing from First Responders

CALIFORNIA FIRST RESPONDERS WANT SHARON QUIRK-SILVA IN SACRAMENTO

FULLERTON, CA – The Sharon Quirk-Silva campaign, today, announced the endorsement of the California Professional Firefighters, joining a growing list of public safety groups across the state that have endorsed Quirk-Silva for her race in the 65th Assembly District.

With a membership of more than 30,000, California Professional Firefighters (CPF) is the largest statewide organization dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of career firefighters.

Quirk-Silva stated, “I am honored to have received the endorsement of the California Professional Firefighters. CPF represents the men and women in our state who put their lives on the line responding every day to thousands of calls for help. They transport the sick to hospitals,
enter burning buildings, and respond to every 9-1-1 call, 24-hours a day. It’s one of the most dangerous jobs in the world and one of the most heroic. As Mayor of Fullerton, I have seen firsthand how dedicated firefighters are to their community and how difficult their work is.
When I go to Sacramento, I will fight to make sure that California firefighters have the equipment and training they need to do their job safely and effectively.”

Quirk-Silva has also received the endorsements of the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs, Fullerton Firefighter Association, Orange County Coalition of Police & Sheriffs, Orange County Professional Firefighters Association (Local 3631), and Santa Ana Police
Officers Association.

California’s 65th Assembly District includes the cities of Fullerton, Buena Park, La Palma, Cypress, Stanton and West Anaheim.
