While State Rep. Jose Solorio is running unopposed for the Rancho Board, he was one of the biggest victims in the Kindee Durkee scandal and rebuilding his warchest is smart politics for the Assemblyman. While several of us think santa Ana Pro Tem Claudia Alvarez, who’s running for the same board but a different seat, would be a disaster for this body, there’s a part of us that would love to see the fireworks these two would generate.
Here are the details on the fundraiser:

Really? You’re promoting Solorio’s $5000 fundraiser for a seat for which he’s running unopposed? Really?
The campaign bucks will be available for the next race – possibly for State Senate.
Golly, are you implying that Jose Solorio would run for a four year term office, and have no intention of actually serving the full four years????
Well that would be a little sleazy…
when someone sends me a news release about a fundraiser and I can get to it, I put the story up.
Well maybe they could write a story about Benavides marital woes or health violations or how Art fights for Latinos from his keyboard.
