Eleventh Anniversary of September 11, 2001 Attacks

I’m sitting here in the eastern time zone, northwestern PA, watching MSMBC rebroadcasting their coverage of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The broadcast is surreal in that they are not running any notification that this is a rebroadcast of events from 11 years ago. The terrorist attacks occurred on a clear Tuesday morning on the east coast, very much like today.

The President participated in simultaneous moments of silent remembrance of the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington D.C. The silence was marked by the simple ringing of bells in Washington, D.C, New York City, and Shanksville, PA.

Not much more can be said of this day that hasn’t already been said over the previous 10 anniversaries of this tragic moment in our nation’s history.

We Remember.
