According to his own campaign website Orange County Congressman Ed Royce has been called California’s Most Effective Conservative Congressman. I guess if you classify extremist as effective, then the claim is accurate.

Over the weekend six-term Missouri Congressman Todd Akin, the GOP challenger to Senator Claire McCaskill, provided a clear distinction between the Republican world-view, and that of the majority of Americans. Akin stated that abortion should not be allowed in the case of rape since “women’s bodies have the ability to prevent pregnancy in such cases.”

Where in the world is Council Santa Ana?

Tonight, the Santa Ana City Council is taking its show on the road. That in itself isn’t unusual if you count their monthly trot from City Hall to the west side of the Santa Ana Civic Center for their “Study Session” meeting. This meeting however will be an actual road show. It will be held at the Heritage Museum of Orange County; 3101 Harvard St., Santa Ana.
