Tonight, the Santa Ana City Council is taking its show on the road. That in itself isn’t unusual if you count their monthly trot from City Hall to the west side of the Santa Ana Civic Center for their “Study Session” meeting. This meeting however will be an actual road show. The August 20th meeting of the Santa Ana City Council will be held at the Heritage Museum of Orange County; 3101 Harvard St., Santa Ana. The regular session should begin at 5:45 pm or immediately following closed session, whichever is later.

One of the matters on the closed session agenda is the annual performance review of the City Clerk. It would be fun to be a fly on the wall during that discussion, given Mayor Pro Tem Claudia Alvarez’s open disdain or the City Clerk. But alas, we’re not flies here at LiberalOC, although I think Alvarez might disagree.
The council will receive the report on the records destruction policy, demanded by Alvarez at a the August 6th meeting. The Study Session will be presented by the Parks, Recreation & Community Services Agency on BUILDING HEALTHY CHOICES.

We can of course expect the Bustamante Watch to continue. The persistent question remains; Will Carlos stick with his previous duck and cover attendance by attending only the closed session portion of the meeting, or will he stick it out and attend the entire meeting?
I’m guessing there is a greater likelihood of a chicken hanging out in the lobby of an El Pollo Loco, than Carlos sticking around for a full meeting.
