Irvine is America’s Safest City for 8th Year in a Row

This welcome bit onf news for Irvine Mayor and CD-45 Congressional Candidate Sukhee Kang.  Irvine has been named the safest city in America for the eighth year in a row.

During the entire eight year run, Democrats have been in charge of the city council majority.  Kang can lay claim to keeping Irvine at the top of the FBI list during his entire four year run as mayor.

Irvine Achieves 8th   Consecutive Year as “Safest City In America”   
City Records Lowest Crime Rate in History under Mayor Sukhee Kang 

 

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – The FBI   announced today that Irvine, for the 8th consecutive year, is the safest   large city in America. According to the FBI’s Preliminary Annual Crime Statistics for 2011,   Irvine had the lowest violent crime and property crime rate in the country   among cities with a population over 100,000. Per capita violent crime rates   in 2010 and 2011 were the lowest in Irvine’s history. 

Mayor Kang provided this statement in an   Irvine Police Department press release, “This is   history-making, eight straight years as the country’s Safest City is truly   something to celebrate. It is the culmination of City Council initiative, our   Public Safety Department’s efforts and our caring citizens… The well-being   of our community is the cornerstone of our success.”
