Irvine has a sizable Persian-American population and this community has unique challenges when it comes to local, county and state services. To address these concerns, there will be a Persian Community Information Forum sponsored by the Persian Association of Resource Solutions (P.A.R.S) April 21, 2012 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Receive information in regards to:
• Housing for people with limited income
• In Home Supportive Services for the elderly or disabled
• Childcare services for low income or single parents
• Battered women services and shelter
• Job placement and athletic programs for the youth
• And many more!
Guest speakers include: State Assemblyman Don Wagner who will discuss programs and services offered by the State of California including which departments to contact, and how to use his office for help. Mayor of Irvine- Sukhee Kang who will discuss programs and services provided for local residents through the City of Irvine. Additionally, we anticipate a speaker from Supervisor Bill Campbell’s office who can provide details on programs available through Orange County.
Executive Director at PARS- Ali Ghadaksaz will discuss the in home supportive services programs, especially targeted toward the Persian community. Director of Public Relations at PARS- Mimi Ghazi will discuss the battered women services, available shelter programs and Jobs. Director of Finance at PARS- Mike Ghaemi will discuss possible community programs targeted towards Persian youth.
