In a 3-2 vote, the Fair Political Practices Commission passed a rule that will exempt city council members from conflict-of interest regulations that prohibited them from voting on their own appointments to paid boards and commissions.

Voice of OC reports this morning that Orange County Counsel Nicholas Chrisos referred to District Attorney Tony Rackauckas the results of a confidential report from the county’s internal auditor about the allegations against former Public Works Executive Manager Carlos Bustamante.
