NEWPORT BEACH — Dozens of Protesters showed up at Pelican Hill Golf Course in Newport Beach this morning to tell House Speaker John Boehner to “Get Off The Golf Course and Start Creating Jobs Now!

Members of the Courage Campaign, joined in solidarity by members of the Orange County Labor Federation, showed up to present Speaker Boehner, Rep. Rohrabacher and Rep. Royce with a Petition Including 25,000 Signatures at the Exclusive Pelican Hill Golf Club Resort During 3rd Annual Reagan Cup demanding that the Speaker hold a vote on President Obama’s American Jobs Act.

While there is almost 10% unemployment and much of our country is suffering from mass anxiety over our economy, Reps. John Boehner, Dana Rohrabacher and Ed Royce will play golf with their super wealthy 1% pals and rake in thousands, if not millions of dollars, at one of the most prestigious resorts in the world, the Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Beach. Just days ago, the resort was rated by Conde Nast as the #1 resort in the United States – a perfect destination for the 1% of all Americans.

Come on guys, Stop Playing Games and get to work on putting America back to work.

  1. I heard a rumor that it took Boehner over six hours to play their round of golf because they had to wait to tee off on every hole –seems the President was playing ahead of them and used a lot of Mulligans.
