Like the classic Abbott and Costello routine, it looks like at least three City Council members have no clue what’s going on. On the one hand it’s kind of funny. On the other, it’s a bit scary.
As Adam Elmahrek reports over at Voice of OC, the search for a new City Manager has been placed on hold until at least the end of the year. This is apparentl;y news to Council members Michele Martinez, Vince Sarmiento, and Sal Tinajero.
“No one called me and said the search has been suspended,” Tinajero said.
Martinez and Sarmiento said they recall a discussion during the most recent closed session about the possibility of suspending the hiring process, but both said a final decision was not made.
