Supes Set Up Committee to Review Performance Audit Report

On Tuesday, the Orange County Board of Supervisors established an ad hoc committee to review and correct the findings made by the Performance Auditor in his report on the County Human Resources Department. The committee members will be Supervisor’s Bates, Nelson, CEO Tom Mauk, Human Resources Director Carl Crown, and Performance Auditor Steve Danley.

A Lasting Influence

Irvine’s Todd Larsen passed away last fall. He taught my son guitar for a few years and we enjoyed getting to know him and his family as Todd showed patience and gave praise during hours of lessons. The last time I saw him, his wife Kelly was pregnant with their son Garrett. This was a happy couple who cared the community and the community cared about them.

Santa Ana City Councilman Carlos Bustamante had to have been riding high last year when he got a quiet and unannounced promotion to Executive Manager with OC Public Works. His promotion, which County Performance Auditor Steve Danley found lacked proper justification, also included a $9,180 car allowance.
