Deputy Pension Lawsuit Supreme Court Appeal DENIED!

It’s over! The ill advised and costly lawsuit initiated by the County of Orange against the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriff’s to reverse retroactive pension benefit increases had been appealed to the California Supreme Court. That request for review was denied. The taxpayers of OC are now on the hook for several million dollars in legal costs incurred by the Deputy Sheriff’s on top of the more than $2 million spent by the county already.

The blame for this waste of taxpayer funds sits squarely with Supervisor John Moorlach, who led the charge of this “Lightheaded Brigade.”

  1. This is great news for all of public safety. if this is a benchmark on perfirmance by our elected officials, Moorlach has hit three strikes and should be out. He should take Maynard with him.
