I was alerted by a Facebook friend request and Twitter follow to a new social network participant from Costa Mesa.
The profiles both have a familiar image attached to them so I was intrigued to say the least. Having followed the @BronxZoosCobra on Twitter the past few days, I’ve enjoyed learning how much pithy humor that can be dished out in 140 characters. This new member seems sure to stir the pot of Costa Mesa politics, and I hope add a bit of levity to the shenanigans of Costa Mesa’s wayward little Leprechaun Mayor.

Who knows, maybe we’ll get some answers that explain Mayor Monahan’s strange behavior and motivations.
The initial commentary feeds are virtually the same on each, starting off with a link to the RepairCostaMesa.com site. Then the LeprechaunMayor shares a reminder to folks that if they want a piece of the action in the pending contracting out process that they need to register as a vendor at the city website.
Then LeprechaunMayor points out that those seeking to do business could maybe help their chances by making a contribution (I’m sure unrelated) to the Mayor.
LeprechaunMayor says he enjoys long walks through the Orange County Fairgrounds, and helping his cousin (the Mayor) fire city workers. He also mentions that he hates unions.
