I received the following email from the California Democratic Party regarding a number of important events this weekend.
2010 was a banner year for Democrats in California. Our Party swept every statewide office and we even expanded our majority in the state legislature. But as you know, the fight never stops and we will need to fight to take back the House, protect our U.S. Senate seat and the White House in 2012.
This is where you come in.
Help us build on the success and energy that Democrats harnessed this past election cycle by participating in our Assembly District Election Meeting (ADEM)! ADEM elections are the best way for grassroots Democrats to get involved, and stay involved in the California Democratic Party.
To take part, you can start by attending the ADEM in your Assembly District where Democrats will be running to represent you. Cast your vote and find out how you too can become more involved in the important fight we have ahead!
ADEMS are being held on Saturday January 8 or Sunday January 9, 2011. Times may have changed over the last couple of weeks, so please check our website for current information.

ADEM elections are the vehicle by which the California Democratic Party proceeds with our reorganization, which occurs biennially to determine the members of the Democratic State Central Committee (DSCC). These Delegates will meet for the first time at the California Democratic Party State Convention held April 29 – May 1, 2011 in Sacramento.
The 2011-2013 term for these delegates promises to be an eventful one and you don’t want to be left out!
