Our congratulations to Supervisor Janet Nguyen and her husband Tom Bonikowski on the arrival of a son, Thomas Bonikowski III. The baby was born shortly after noon on December 15 and he weighed in at 7 lbs and 13 ounches.
Both parents are fine and resting as much as possible. The baby is heathly.

henry, our friend the bolsavik doesnt gush and fawn over the wicked witch of little saigon like cheminowski and prevatt do but there is some great pictures of her when she decided to back van tran and a great bunch of pics from her photo op in front of the nguoi viet with the communists in the community who want to shut that newspaper down on his site.i seriously doubt that she will be feeding her kid sandwiches from her lees sandwiches franchise we all know it’s not safe to eat there.

You’d be wrong. And franklly how crass of you to interject negative politics into a happy ocassion. We don’t agree with Janet’s politics and will gladly back a good Democratic candidate against her in 2012. But this is the birth of her son. Let it go

But I just find it strange that not even the bolsavik came out with this scoop beofre Red County let alone the Liberal Oc. heck, i would expect even Voice of OC to have this story beofre this blog. Red County hasnt even mentioned it. Im just curious about the closeness of janet Nguyen to Dan C, the head of the “Liberal OC”. Its just kind of wierd is all.
I haved never met Janet Nguyen ever. She is a Facebook friend (so are a lot of people); My only interaction with her has been a single message congratulating her and her husband on their pending arrival and that was a few months ago. Don’t believe everything you read about me on other blogs. The journalistic standards there aren’t all that high.
cheminowski i’m not talking about other blogs i was talking about this blog. and yes i’m crass and many other things as well but it doesnt change the fact that she’s reproducing. that cant be a good thing. and i wonder if she will raise her child to believe it’s ok to shut down newspapers in america if you dont agree with what they write about.

Maybe it didn’t occur to you but quite simply, we heard a rumor that Janet had delivered. Dan followed up on the rumor by contacting Supervisor Nguyen’s office. They gave Dan the information and he made the post.
That simple. No connections or inside information here, just a phone call.
I’ve never met her Henry. We get a lot of tips and hear about a lot of things. When we check them out, sometimes the tip wasn’t good. Other times, it’s dead on. You’d be surprised at the “stories” we are pitched that never see the light of day.
@Jose – not sure where you’re going with your comment. If it’s lawsuit driven, well the judge has already found in our favor once and we expect he will again in the case against Art personally as the judge already indicated that the second suit was stronger. If your comment has more to do with Steve Perez’s post being yanked, Chris addressed it. I sent Steve an email outlining several factual errors in his post. It’s one thing to have an opinion but quite another to report on “facts” that are not correct.

Not exactly my recollection of events so I thought your reference was to the lawsuit or to Steve Perez since you seem to be the one bringing it up all the time (I haven’t posted on the lawsuit for quite some time).
I don’t know how many times I can say this, but when a solid Democrat throws his or her hate in the ring to run against Nguyen in 2012, we’ll likely support them.

Enough of the absurd communist baiting. If you want to go there do it elsewhere. We do not run a gush fest over Janet Nhuyen. I have been personally critical of her when necessary. I have been positive in my coverage more recently because she has given me little o raise hell about. I am certain that she will at some point find herself at the sharp end of my words.
At this point in time however, be a reasonable person and simply congratulate her and Tom on the birth of their new son rather than calling her a witch.
If I knew your gender for sure, I would tell you to “Man Up!”

Many of the more negative posts about Janet Nguyen were written by other bloggers, but I have had my share. Most are from a few years back during Nguyen’s first year in office.
