SANTA ANA, CA – U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez is proud to announce that she has received the endorsement of the Santa Ana Police Officers Association. She has pledged to continue to fight for our law enforcement and to strengthen public safety in our community.

“The Santa Ana Police Officers Association is proud to give Congresswoman Sanchez our support,” said Joseph Perez, President of the Santa Ana Police Officers Association. “Her strong support of public safety and quality of life issues has led us to our decision to endorse her candidacy. We look forward to her victory and continued hard work in Congress.”

“I am honored to have the support of Santa Ana law enforcement,” said Rep. Sanchez. “In Congress, I have always fought to get our police officers the tools and resources they need to combat crime in our neighborhoods. Working together, we will continue to improve the quality of life for local families.”

Congresswoman Sanchez has always been a strong advocate for Orange County law enforcement.  She supports Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) programs to reduce violence and crime in our communities. Rep. Sanchez has also been a strong supporter of Byrne Grants, which provide funding for state and local governments to strengthen the criminal justice system and enhance community safety. These initiatives have been crucial in helping Santa Ana’s finest keep our community secure and safe.

Originally incorporated in 1948, the Santa Ana Police Officers Association is a member of the California Coalition of Law Enforcement (C.C.L. E.A.), Southern California Alliance of Law Enforcement (S.C.A.L.E.), California Peace Officers’ Memorial Foundation (C.P.O.M.F.), Orange County Coalition of Police and Sheriffs (O C Cops), and the Public Employees Staff Organization (P.E.S.O.).

  1. The Byrne Grant Program is part of the failed “War on Drugs”.

In order to qualify for Byrne Grant funding, Police Departments have an economic incentive to make petty drug arrests, and falsify evidence, to look good on paper by documenting high drug arrest numbers.

Federal, (your taxes), Byrne Grant funding could be better spent securing our Southern border; which means not re-electing open border politicians like Loretta Sanchez. The I-8 BLM sign, http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b115/robbinmyers/Limpsign1jpg.jpg

A really effective anti-drug policy would be impeaching Obama for protecting the Afghanistan opium/heroin drug trade.

“Google” this, “Obama protects Afghanistan drug trade.”
America doesn’t need Byrne Grants, Obama, or Sanchez.
