Bistango’s in Irvine was the spot where candidates for office gathered for a meet and greet with members of the OC Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
While a number of candidates were there including Beth Krom, Ceci Iglesias, Van Tran, Melissa Fox and Harry Sidhu, to name a few, I was surprised that not a single candidate for Santa Ana city council or school board could make it.Â
Enjoy these photos from the event.

Interesting. The reason I was not there is because I did not receive an invitation nor even knew about the event. I wonder if that is the reason why other Santa Ana candidates were not there either.

They issued an open invitation to candidates and the event itself was well publicized.
Given that this group consists of Hispanic business leaders, this was a very bi-partisan affair with Republicans and Democrats attending.
The biggest mystery to me is why have it in Irvine instead of Santa Ana or Anaheim.
