They say a picture paint’s a thousand words. Well this one definitely makes an interesting statement, and going through Santa Ana, this appears to be the norm. On Friday, Miguel Pulido (D-Supposedly)Â for re-election and Lucille Kring for State Senate (R-Definitely) signs appeared throughout the city of Santa Ana, together like the picture above.
One has to wonder, why is Pulido signs being posted along with Lou Correa’s extremely conservative opponent. Is this a tacit support by the Mayor for Lucille Kring. Is he trying to send a message. This definitely would not be the first time he has supported an ultra-conservative candidate. He did support Bob Dornan over Loretta Sanchez as well as Rosemarie Avila and Lupe Moreno in the past and has never recanted his support for such extreme conservatives. So past history indicates the Mayor may be supporting Kring. Or his volunteers could be secretly helping Lucille Kring. Word is Michele Martinez is running the field campaign for the Mayor. She also worked for Lorri Galloway, who we all know has a long running feud with Senator Correa.
Pulido is allegedly the the endorsed candidate of the Democratic Party as decided by the party insiders who gush over Miguel more than a 14 year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert. I think they should finally hold him accountable and call on Miguel to re-iterate his support for keeping the 34th SD in Democratic Party hands. Miguel should clarify why their signs seem to appear together throughout Santa Ana to clear up any misunderstanding. We would hate for anyone to misconstrue it.
Claudio, these guys hire sign placement companies to litter our streets by putting up signs in public right of way. They clearly both hired the same company and they went on their midnight run putting up signs of 2 clients together. I do not think there is a connectiom between the candidates other than hiring out the same firm. What is interesting is that one generally hired these teams when volunteers are in short suppply. THAT is more telliing than tandem placement.
You have a point Cynthia. But my sources tell me that the company hired to hang Mayor Pulido’s signs is a realtively new one started by a Santa Ana resident. This resident is supposed to be a liberal Democrat so it makes me wonder why he would also hire himself out to such an extreme Republican like Lucille. This person is also close to Miguel Pulido’s field person. The dots are connecting if you ask me.
Correa actually has his volunteers go out and hang up signs around town. His is an in-house operation, which tells you who does have the community support.

All based on supposition, but even if so… You “wonder?” Why someone would “hire himself out?” Sometimes people need to take any work they can get, to feed their kids, in this economy?
The good news is Lou’s got the volunteers and doesn’t need to HIRE someone.
The other side of this story is that Lou Correa has endorsed two Republicans in the Anaheim City Council election – one being Gail Eastman.

There are degrees to everything even in political parties.
Lou’s endorsed Republicans most would agree are different in views to Pulido’s republicans he has endorsed……Bob Dornan, Rosie Avila and Lupe Moreno. THIS IS REALY THE POINT.

I agree the point is not †Why someone would “hire himself out?†The point is what Claudio suggests ” connect the dots” The candidate is Pulido, the field manager is Michele Martinez , the sign Company is owned by two Santa Ana College students she mentors and the other candidate is Kring. The dots connect logically. The sign Co. I believe might have Tinajero and Benavides as clients. If so……good for some one to find out then based on Cynthia’s, theory all would be placed together.
If it turns out that the other candidates are common clients then Claudio’s theory is now fact.
ALSO OF INTEREST IS IF THE SIGN PLACEMENT OWNERS AND WHO MICHELE MENTORS HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE CAMPAIGNS OF PULIOD, MARTINEZ, TINAJERO AND BENAVIDES AND NOW HAVE THEIR EMPLYMENT….CONFLICT OF INTEREST, MAYBE?

In any case the reason for the posible association with Kring is to make the perception that Pulido still has the Republican association to those voters he might loose to his Republican challenger…. Hart.
