Judge strikes parts of Capo election statements, keeps others – OCR
An Orange County judge on Wednesday ordered revisions to two political statements that will be printed in the Capistrano Unified School District’s official election materials this fall, but handed a key victory to the authors of those statements by permitting them to deny having ties to labor unions.

Rackauckas Will Seek Re-election in 2014 – VOC
KOCE, is reporting that Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas has reversed course and decided to run for re-election in 2014. This is an abrupt change of heart for Rackauckas who announced publicly after his win in the June primary that this would be his last term and that he would likely support Todd Spitzer, one of his top deputies, in the 2014 election.

Spitzer opens up personnel file – OCR
Former Assistant District Attorney Todd Spitzer hand delivered his  personnel file from the District Attorney’s Office to us Wednesday afternoon – all 53 pages – for Total Buzz to review as he continues to wage his campaign that he was improperly fired by his former mentor.
