Long time Tustin community activist Sherri Loveland has filed to fill one of the vacant seats on the Tustin City Council.  We met her last week at a fundraiser for Santa Ana Council member David Benavides and she’s smart, she’s committed, and she’s charming — basically everything the anti-Jerry Amante and she’s just what Tustin needs now.
From her Facebook page, Loveland describes herself as: “As a long-time community volunteer, I will work to guide Tustin’s future in partnership with civic organizations, volunteers, & local business leaders. I want to establish much better relations between City government and the TUSD.”
She already has support from some strong Denmocratic electeds in OC. Teamming with Council member Deborah Gavello, Loveland and Gavello are in a position to break the stranglehold conservatives have on Tustin’s city government.Â
