Speaker Perez and Asm. Solorio to hold State Budget Forum in OC

This is Your Chance to Fix California’s State Budget!

Assemblyman Jose Solorio

California continues to face unprecedented budget challenges. Legislators need your input in this process in order to make tough choices on what to fund, what to cut, and where to find the needed revenues.

This budget forum has been designed for you: so you will get an opportunity to learn how the state budget is constructed, what, if any flexibility there is in allocating finite state resources and listening to the decisions you would like your legislators to make regarding the Governor’s state budget proposals.

This is an unprecedented opportunity for central Orange County residents to be engaged in the state budget process within our representative democratic framework. If you are unable to participate on Friday, feel free to check the website for additional forum dates and times.

Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez and Assemblyman Jose Solorio invite you to this Forum on the Governor’s proposed budget.

WHEN: Friday, April 30th, 2010 at 4 P.M.

WHERE: The City of Garden Grove Community Meeting Center 11300 Stanford Avenue Garden Grove, CA 9284

There are no secrets about this process, but there are plenty of views on how best to accomplish what is obviously an exceedingly difficult task.

Everyone is welcome.
