Rep. John Campbell brands himself a fiscal conservative (despite voting for stimulus programs pushed for by the Bush Administration in 2008). Campbell leverages his CPA/MBA brand constantly, using his “Green Eye Shade” label for his blog. Yet one of Campbell’s first OC fundraisers for the year, an event targeting CPAs with low dollar pledges of $100 to $250, scheduled for Corona Del Mar last night was cancelled unexpectedly. A source who went to the event last night reporting that the person answering the door told him the event was cancelled due to a poor response.
It’s not like John Camnpbell needs the money. He is one of the wealthiest members of Congress and can write his campaign the big checks he needs to have to bolster his campaign coffers to go along with all that PAC money he takes.
But aren’t CPAs Campbell’s peeps? Is it just a tad…pathetic that the Congressman couldn’t warrant enough attention from CPAs with a low dollar fundraiser to come? Perhaps holding a fundraiser for CPAs just before April 15 was also bad timing, but doesn’t that reflect on the Congressman as well? When was the last time you heard of a Campbell fundraiser being cancelled due to a poor response?
Most of Beth Krom’s donations come from real people who live in the district who can vote for her. Consider Campbell’s record of not delivering for the district and placing votes of his party ahead of the interests of the district, that anti-incumbent fever striking across America might somehow come home to roost in the CD-48. We’ll see.

John Campbell has no idea how run in a competitive campaign. While he’s canceling events due to poor turnout Beth Krom is hitting the press EVERYWHERE! All this week Beth Krom is featured on Inside OC, yesterday she was featured in The Huffington Post… twice.
People are paying attention to Beth Krom because she is going to win.
Beth Krom WORKS for her CONSTITUENTS! Not For Big Business Interests Like Campbell. When Did The Corporation Become A Person? oh, never mind… that was a few weeks ago via the Supreme Court of The U.S. of A. ALL THE MORE REASON TO VOTE IN KROM!
Clearly Campbell does not know what he’s doing. Scheduling a CPA event right at the end of Tax Season just doesn’t make any sense.
