WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-47) today issued the following statement congratulating Joseph “Joe†Pak, a disability rights advocate from Garden Grove, on his recent appointment to the National Council on Disability:
“I would like to congratulate my dear friend Joe Pak on his recent confirmation to the National Council on Disability. For many, many years, Mr. Pak has faithfully and effectively served Orange County’s disabled community. Now, he has been given the opportunity to serve disabled Americans across the country.
“As a disabled man himself, Mr. Pak is intimately familiar with the unique challenges that face Americans with disabilities. I have no doubt that Mr. Pak will work hard to ensure that disabled people are provided equal opportunities in their personal and professional lives. I look forward to working with Joe, and other members of the Council, as we fight to improve the quality of life for all Americans.â€
I have known Joe since 2002 when we both ran for Garden Grove City Council. He is a great choice for this appointment. He is a man of great integrity and honesty. I look forward to the positive impact his participation on the National Council on Disability will have.
Congratulations to Mr. Pak! I can’t think of a better man for the position.
