Rush Limbaugh is in the Hospital

Rush Limbaugh (R- Paid Liar):: Obstructionist Republican Clown by WMxdesign.

Conservative talk show host and comedian Rush Limbaugh is reportedly in the hospital after being stricken while on vacation in Hawaii.  I’m sure he’ll get the best possible healthcare while he’s there.  Rush may have suffered a heart attack and the Huffington Post is reporting he is in serious condition.  Perhaps he overexterted himself while searching for President Obama’s original birth certificate.

From the story:

Paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. from the Kahala Hotel and Resort where Limbaugh is vacationing, KITV reported. The station, citing unnamed sources, said the 58-year-old Limbaugh was taken to The Queens Medical Center in serious condition.

Queens spokeswoman N. Makana Shook says the hospital is unable to comment on the report.

Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said paramedics took a male of unknown age to an area hospital from the Kahala Hotel and Resort. He said he had no further information.

Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week, KITV said. The country club is next to the Kahala hotel.

For privacy reasons, hotel spokeswoman Sheila Donnelly Theroux said she was unable to acknowledge that Limbaugh is a guest.

Sorry.  I can’t feel too sympathetic for someone who wants our president to fail.

  1. Yep, all liberal sites so far show no concern whatsoever. The worst show gleeful joy. The best (you are in this group) simply report the news and add a jab of bitting humor aimed at Rush. You reveal yourselves as cruel, unfeeling, hate filled people. Do you know of ANY conservative sites that made fun of Kennedy when he was diagnosed with brain cancer?

    • Tom,

Yes I do know of a conservative site that made light of Kennedy’s cancer. Here.

While he battles with brain cancer, we battle for our nation’s life. While he sails his boat around Martha’s Vineyard, we pick up millions of pieces of trash on our borders from invading illegal alien hordes that he encourages. While he tips yet another glass of wine, we struggle to maintain our schools, communities, hospitals and prisons from this illegal invasion. While he sat on his barnyard wide rear-end for 40 years in the Senate creating the problems that now destroy our nation, we watched the American Dream turn into a nightmare.

Then of course there was Michael Savage on his radio show as reported by MediaMatters.org.

    • I get so tired of hearing claims that conservatives are “nicer” than liberals. It’s complete and total BS. There are nice liberals and nice conservatives. There are evil liberals and evil conservatives. Period.

Here’s a link to an article about Michael Savage’s hatefest: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/nov05election/detail?blogid=14&entry_id=26686

And Savage is not just a blogger with an audience of a few hundred or a few thousand. He’s a nationally syndicated radio personality.

Either way, though, the comparison of reactions to Limbaugh and Kennedy is not appropriate because Kennedy was a politician who was known for his good relationships with those with whom he disagreed. He did not speak ill of people. Limbaugh, on the other hand, is a commentator who makes his living saying bad things about people he disagrees with. He dishes it out and he’s almost certainly going to have to take it.

  2. Isn’t it nice that Rush Limbaugh is receiving the kind of medical care that he actively seeks to deny other Americans?

A person’s deeds speak for themselves and there is no point here in making a silk purse out of the sow’s ear that has been Mr. Limbaugh’s existence. Personally, I couldn’t care less if he lives or dies.

  3. Give me a break, no one in this country is denied health care, it is against the EMTALA law. Many religious organizations arrange for free health care in clinics and health care facilities across the country for those in true need. I know many MDs who have provided free care due to a patients compelling situation. Those who do not qualify for help usually try to hide assets or do not follow up on arranged treatment and care. Many people who should buy insurance prefer to purchase other things instead. Granted there are rare cases of people who fall through the cracks, it is those situations that true health care reform should remedy. Some would argue that insurance is becoming more costly, that is true-as long as tort reform is missing, defensive medicine will be practiced, thus raising the cost of services. One could be 99.5% sure of a definitive diagnosis but with 0.5% possibility in question would include additional differential diagnosis testing to rule out remote possibilities. No one likes to look for zebras in a herd of buffalo. The two bloggers above who don’t care if Rush lives or dies are of the type of atitudes feared in a government takeover of healthcare.
