HELLO LIBERALOC!!! It is an honor to be asked by Chris Prevatt and Dan Chmielewski to join their esteemed blogpen. I too have critiqued their lack of coverage in Central Orange County, the one current Democratic stronghold in the OC, so what a suprise when they asked me to be the one to fill this area.
Starting Sunny D and maintaining the blog turned out to be a more time consuming task than I had anticipated. With the limited time I had, I realized I could not run this alone, and quite frankly I did not want blogging to get in the way of spending precious time with my children. At the same time, I had many thoughts and opinions to get out to the public. Joining TheLiberalOC will allow me to balance my time and not have the headaches of maintaining a blog by myself.
I plan to put a special focus on Santa Ana, Anaheim, Garden Grove and Costa Mesa, pretty much where I have focused on in the past. I will call out the Republicans when they screw up, which is often and bad Democrats when they do not adhere to progressive values and do not adhere to being the party of the common person.
One group of Democrats I have been known to criticize is the Santa Ana City Council and even here they will not get a free pass just because they are registered Democrats. If they engage in politics of secrecy I will call it out. At the same time I will be factual, thorough and honest. I will not engage in politics of personal destruction and character assassination, which all too often ends up happening in the political world.
I encourage your feedback and thoughts and look forward to being a part of this esteemed team.
Good luck Claudio!
Although I seldom agree with the political positions of The LOC – I find this blog to be a place of civil and discourse and thoughtful debate. I believe that you will be a good fit here.
Thanks Junior; come by anytime.
I too understand the problems with finding time to do it all Claudio.
and as Jr said we may not always agree at least we can talk about the differences in a civil manner.
Good luck to you!
