We have just received word that San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is coming to Orange County on August 11, 2009 for a community Town Hall meeting. Newsom is running for the Democratic Party nomination for Governor of California.
Newsom’s Town Hall is scheduled for August 11, 2009Â -Â 6:00 PM at Santa Ana College – Johnson Campus Building, 1530 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana.
In reports filed for the campaign finance period ending June 30, 2009, Newsom had raised $1.71 million and has $1.24 million in cash on hand. I did notice one of Newsom’s major donors is OC attorney and Democratic Foundation President Wylie Aitken. He contributed $20,000 to Newsom’s bid for Governor.
