During their coverage of Noah Krom’s passing and in comments they both allowed on the posts themselves, Orange Juice blog editor Art Pedroza and anonymous blogger Red Vixen made some interesting accusations. They claimed that LiberalOC bloggers were on the Krom payroll and that some commenters (notably Bruce Manning)who had the temerity to post a complaint under their own names were also on the Team Krom payroll. They claimed a cover up by the Krom campaign. They claimed to have “broken the news, even though they were clearly well behind Red County and the Liberal OC with the news.
Red Vixen even went as far as contacted Krom’s campaign manager to ask if Manning was on payroll only to be told “no.” Not that she believed a straight answer.Â
The latest report is out. Expenses are documented. There are no Liberal OC bloggers on the payroll. Bruce Manning is not on the payroll.Â
I’m calling on Pedroza and Vixen to publicly apologize for their unfounded accusations but don’t expect either of these weasels to do so.Â

You were both wrong. You implied financial documents would prove your claims. The financial documents don’t. You need to apologize to us. You need to apologize to Bruce Manning. You need to apologize to the Krom campaign for your crazy accusations.Â
Beth has raised a total of $139,000; short of her goal, but I can’t believe anyone will hold this against her since she spent the last month of the quarter grieving for her son’s loss. The Angels got off to a great start too and then had to recover from their own tragedy, and Beth has a committed team that knows this is a marathon and not a sprint.Â
Vixen claims to have financially supported the campaign. I’m going to call her an outright liar and hold her to the same standard she held LiberalOC bloggers and Bruce Manning to; prove it. Show us your contribution to prove you gave money to the campaign. I’m sure the Krom campaign will do their best to mail it back or donate to a worthy charity.
Krom doesn’t need supporters like this.
of course art isnt going to apologize why should he? do you guys ever apologize? of course not. instead of whining you guys should concentrate on writing about stuff that people enjoy reading and commenting on. bring in some new bloggers or something.

I’m sure it’s my selective amnesia acting up again, but please refresh my memory here.
What apology should we have made that we didn’t?
We do try to minimize our commentary regarding OrangeJuice, but since they made several false allegations about us, we figure pointing out the facts is appropriate.
As far as getting more bloggers is concerned, we’re working on that. While trying to keep YOU entertained is a labor of love for some of us, it is still a lot of work. Bloggers don’t grow on trees, and our standards are indeed a bit higher than at OrangeJuice.
Hey Jose, I just read Art’s little screed over there and he still doesn’t seem to get it. Neither does our friend Red Vixen who’s let it slip she’s BCC’d our emails to the Krom campaign folks as though we should be quaking in our boots about it.
Hell, I’ll make it easier for her next time and just add the Krom team to the CC: field in our email. Good luck getting added to the press list Vixen. I suspect the campaign won’t deal with anonymous bloggers.
Art thinks its good the Krom team didn’t hire us. Hell, I didn’t know we were even under consideration. But if Beth needs advice on how to lose a campaign, I’m sure Art can help. The only person he can beat is a convicted ketchup thief.
prevatt, i know you have selective amnesia that goes without saying and i wont get into that as i can see your pantaloons are already in a twist. the thing is dont worry about entertaining me worry about entertaining other readers and you might have more traffic here. and if this blogging thing is so much hard work for you maybe you need to think about not doing it because it really should come easy to you. something you love should never come hard. maybe your just not cut out for this sort of thing. and as far as bloggers not growing on trees please dont tell me you guys have “standards”. if you guys are waiting to find bloggers as “gifted” as you and cheminowski then please keep in mind the bar is already set way too low so it shouldnt be that hard. in any case please do find some new blood because as i have said before this blog actually means something to me but just like a good pet sometimes you have to take them to the vet and have them put down.
