ORANGE – Former Orange County Supervisor Ralph B. Clark, 92, was eulogized today as “someone who made our lives better” and a man who bequeathed “the wealth of his personality” to family and friends.

More than 300 mourners attended the funeral Mass at Holy Family Cathedral for Clark, who died June 6.

He was instrumental in the formation of public busing in the county while a board member with the Orange County Transit District, which today is the Orange County Transportation Authority.

After two unsuccessful attempts, Clark became the first Democrat elected to the Anaheim City Council in 40 years in 1968, becoming mayor in 1969 before being elected to the county board in 1970 and serving until 1986.
