In today’s White House Press briefing, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced that President Obama will be in Santa Ana on Wednesday, March 18th, prior to attending a meeting in Los Angeles. We are trying to gather more detail and will post it as soon as we have it.
UPDATE: (4.15 PM): From today’s White House briefing. Mr. Gibbs:
On Wednesday afternoon, the President will travel to southern California and hold a town hall meeting in Santa Ana. He will then travel to Los Angeles, and will spend the night in L.A., holding a couple of events in Los Angeles on Thursday, before returning quite late that evening to Washington.
Pedroza must be working today; there’s nothing on OJ about this and we’ve had for several hours already
The original post was put up here at 12.10 pm.
Forgive my unemployed mijo for not blogging about this sooner for both his readers. Mijo has no dinero for his bills, but finds a way to pay his high speed internet bill. Never forget, half the lies my mijo tells are not even true.
The President is coming here in an effort to bolster support for his Health care initiatives. White House Staff and the DPOC are keeping the cards very close to the chest but I gathered this much yesterday at the OCYD meeting.
How do I get invited to town hall meeting? I want to be there if possible. Thank you, Kathryn Terry
That’s the announcement we’re all waiting for….
Maybe by now someone else has heard. No doubt, as soon as one of us finds out, we’ll post it.
My mijo tells me that he is the most popular blogger on his whole street. His parajitos will get to the bottom of this and tell my lazy son what to write.
Where is the town meeting going to take place?
We will post that info as soon as we have it. It has not been announced yet.
Why has my mijo not put his crazy spin on this story yet? It’s 10pm, maybe his meds have made my lazy mijo sleepy.

You have to love Art Pedroza; we scoop the local media with this story and he attributes it to the Total Buzz blog. But then click on the link and Dena Bunis credits The Liberal OC with the story. No class Art. None at all.
And there is NO coverage about this in today’s OC Register. The president of the United States is coming to Orange County Wednesday and there’s no story. Newsweek is totally correct about the Register as a bastion of conservative thought.
Jeez, it took them a week to report that Beth Krom was running for Congress.
Go Obama,
The system is broken and the economy is in the toilet. This is the best time to reinvent the broken parts.
Santa Ana is a good place to say that the foundation of the country will be protected and strengthen, and the high-brow flim-flam artist and money changers, will get toasted for screwing the pooch, and flushing all of America and most of the world down the toilet.
President Clinton came to Santa Ana in 96 and then the country has tax surplus’s and an economic boom.
no one tells mi mijo what to write. except sean mills and couple other parajitos and the voices in mijos head. but no one tells mi mijo what to write.
The OC Register is saying that Obama will likely be in Costa Mesa at the OC Fairgrounds, rather than in Snata Ana. Why hasn’t this page been updated to reflect that?
When there is an actual announcement of the location we will post the information. It is correct that the Register has reported that the OC Fairgrounds is a potential location. However, no final location has been determined at this time.
I just now (yes, 7.00 pm on Sunday evening)got off the phone with one of the advance people for the White House. Tomorrow the White House will be making the official announcement of the time and location. That’s it for now.
my mijo was told by either parajitos or voices in his head that the white house announcement must be in spanish or he and sean mills will blog it for both the readers of the most important blog on mijos street
It is now “tomorrow.” Anything?
Sadly, not yet. We intend to honor our promise to provide updates as soon as we get new information.
