Orange County Employees Association has launched a new website to help county workers and residents who have been laid off from their jobs.
“As our Country and County continue to face our greatest economic challenge since the Great Depression, we at OCEA have launched a new website that will provide to all County residents who have been laid off a quick resource reference to help them during these difficult times,” OCEA General Manager Nick Berardino said in his announcement.
“The website is designed to provide information referred through links to:, medical options, food banks, government assistance programs, job search assistance, counseling and other relevant resources. We will continue to add links and helpful information. We are all in this together and working together we will become stronger.”

I've been impressed by how OCEA is willing to step up and take care of their own. This is why we need Unions and how they are done right. It's unfortunate that the Board of Supervisors are more concerned with lobby remodels rather than the wellbeing of their County Employees. Best of luck to you all.
