Facebook is a wonderful thing. Ron Shepston announced on Facebook yesterday that he’s a candidate for District Delegate in AD-71 which is now represented by Jeff Miller. (Hint — Ron, would be a great candidate to oppose Jeff who won the primary and faced no general election challenger).
With a primary campaign under his belt, Ron would come into the race more experienced and is positioned to compete for this seat.Â
On Facebook, the word “delegate” was on the cut and I didn’t see it; sorry for getting folks hopes up, but a candidate like Ron will do that to you.
Way to go Ron. I wish you all the best. Hopefully you can take ou opponent to task and give them a real run.
Facebook is a wonderful thing, Dan. But reading comprehension is even better!
As I read his announcement, Ron is running for DELEGATE to the CDP from the 71st. Not for Assembly.
You might want to verify with Ron before you make a public announcement of this sort.
Isn’t that verification an important part of your much-touted journalistic ethics?
Yeah Dan, I was going to say something when I saw the “Wall to Wall” discussion (GOD BLESS FACEBOOK!). I think it is delegate too.
Here’s what he said exactly:
“Ron has registered to run for California 71st Assembly District Delegate.”
sounds like a delegate run…
Egad — the sentence break in Facebook left off the word “Delegate”; my bad
