Rumors are circulating every major news network that Sen. Hillary Clinton has been offered the post of Secretary of State. The rumors started when Hillary Clinton was asked to visit the President elect in Chicago.
I predict that if she was offered the job, she will accept it. I can’t think of a single person who would excite and unite the world of diplomacy more then Hillary Clinton. It would be a stark contrast between the image that Condi Rice is thought to project, which is a cold and calculating nature… oh wait. Regardless, the other runner-ups are rumored to be Gov. Richardson and Sen. Kerry, and if that’s the case Hillary should start meeting with carrier diplomats right away.
I mean in all seriousness, Kerry would be a wonderful choice if our foreign policy called for boring the international community (and possibly Iraqi insurgents) to death. And as for Bill Richardson, well, no one likes a turncoat. Richardson’s international stature has taken a dive recently, with his failure (according to Latin-American news sources) to negotiate the hostage surrender he was asked to mediate.
Any thoughts?

much better steve thank you.
After all that, she’s going to get that 3am phone call after all.
With that position under her belt, no one would be able to stop her from taking the big office in 2012.
Is this part of Bill’s vast conspiracy to get his wife out the country more often? 😛
Prime Minister Rudd is the Man. He ran on a platform of getting the Aussies out of Iraq and on apologizing to the Aboriginal People for the atrocities committed against them. He won after over 10 years of conservative rule! Thanks for including the picture of him with Hillary.
Yeah, HIllary would be great!
it should be president elect Clinton not secretary of state Clinton. I really like your writing Steve keep it up.
I wonder if the Iraquis would like Hillary as Secretary of State? Hillary voted to authorize the war in Iraq. Hillary is a dangerous person as Secretary of State. The majority of people voted for Obama for change not for another Clinton administration!
