County Union Launches Food Drive

Contrary to the myth, which claims that county workers are over paid and recieve too many benefits, they are having a hard time getting by too.

The Orange County Employees Association (OCEA) recently discovered that some of its members have had to resort to seeking assistance from community food banks just to get by. “With the explosion of gas prices, rising interest rates, the collapse of home values, and the rising cost of food, our members are feeling the pinch too,” said OCEA General Manager Nick Berardino.

To address the needs of some of their co-workers, OCEA members will be holding a food and school supplies drive from July 15th through July 31st. This is just one example of what it means to be part of a union family; people helping people.
