“It’s too bad that the president and it’s even worse that the Congress has to wait until the American people are personally suffering until they increase the supply of energy available to our country.â€
And what do you think “Crazy Dana” Rohrabacher wants to do about it? Invest in solar energy? Wind power? Biomass? Nope, he has the thrill of the drill… The same one that George W. Bush & John McCain are falling over each other over.
So why is Dana so crazy for offshore oil drilling? Doesn’t he know that it won’t bring about much more oil, and that the small benefits it would produce won’t be felt in at least 20 years? I guess not. I guess he’d rather deny the obvious.
But hey, we don’t have to! In fact, we can give Dana that early retirement he must be looking for. Come on, he’s earned it. 😉
Maybe Dana can ask Cheney about the advice received from the Energy Task Force that convened. Remember the one where Cheney claimed “executive privilege” when the GAO subpoenaed the notes?
I figure that is what we’re seeing now. Of course folks like crazy Dana want to blame everyone but themselves.
Credit where it’s due: Crazy Dana has always backed offshore drilling. And always kind of hated the environment.
Unlike Johnny-come-lately McCain, who has just now discovered offshore drilling as a votegetting issue, since most Americans still seem to think it will lower their prices. And far be it from McCain to give them any “straight talk” about that!
