CA-46: The HB Independent Speaks out on Crazy Dana

Everyone knows at least one crazy relative who always manages to embarrass themselves at family functions.

You know the type. You appreciate their sense of humor or forthrightness, but sometimes they take things a beat too far.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher sometimes can be just like that. While we often appreciate his maverick nature and his outspokenness, there are times when he wanders too far into the weeds.

This is from the Huntington Beach Independent. Apparently, we’re not the only ones
who are paying attention to Crazy Dana and his wild ways. The mainstream media is also starting to notice.

Well, good on the HB Independent. It’s about time someone call Dana out on his climate crisis denial, his dismissal of torture as just “panties on the head”, his refusal to admit that our brave troops need to come home from Iraq, and all those other wild antics of his that we’ve had to grow accustomed to. The Independent’s doing its job well as a local paper… So when will the rest of the local mainstream media follow the Independent’s lead?

  1. Dana has always been this way. The GOP are embarrased by him and he is in a “safe” seat. He doesn’t care about what the public thinks about him. He has never tried to be a leader on OC or advocate chairing a committee in the House. He is the laziest and stupidist member we have in the delegation.

    Welcome to DanaLand. You wouldn’t believe how many people I’ve spoken with in the 46th are simply embarrassed that they have “Crazy Dana” as their Congresscritter. He simply doesn’t listen to his own constituents, and he doesn’t think much of them holding him accountable for being so out of touch on the environment, the war, social issues, the economy, and so much more.

    Well, let’s see what happens when Dana gets a rude awakening this fall. 😉

  3. Maybe Rohrabacher should vote for extending unemployment benefits instead of voting against the interests of his middle-class district once again. He and his wife Rhonda, who only works as his campaign consultant under the terms of her plea bargain, may in fact be needing to be collecting unemployment benefits for quite some time.
