I recently contacted First District Supervisor Janet Nguyen to find out where she stands in regards to Measure G. Measure G is a bond measure that will appear on the ballots of those residing within the Santa Ana Unified School District boundries and if approved by 67% of the voters would lead to a $200 million bond for school improvements. Many of Janet’s most loyal propagandists in the blogosphere have barbequed anyone who has dared support this measure, but as usual they have given their girl Janet a free pass.
Since the area in question falls directly within the First District I decided to find out exactly where our Supervisor stands. I felt it was important that the voters hear directly from Janet on this all important issue. The response I received was pure political double speak. You see Janet Nguyen supports Measure G…..If you do. I am sure she tells those that oppose it that she does too.
Here is Janet’s response:

Subject: Re: Measure GDear Mr. Mill:Thank you for your email regarding my position on the Santa Ana Unified School District’s proposed bond, Measure G.ÂÂAs you know, I fully support finding ways to solve overcrowding issues in schools. It is important for students and educators that classrooms be manageable and productive learning environments.ÂÂIf there are funds available at the state level, the Santa Ana Unified School District has a right and a responsibility to seek out those funds to help better the schools in their district.ÂÂHowever, the decision is ultimately left in the hands of the voters and as elected officials it is our responsibility to abide by the wishes of the public. Should two-thirds of the voters decide to approve Measure G, I am confident and hope that the School District will use the resources in a responsible and effective manner.ÂÂAgain, thank you for contacting me about Measure G and as always, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,Supervisor Janet Nguyen
First District, Board of Supervisors
still trying to deflect the story away from Hoa I see
TL,
The other folks have the smear campaign covered.
do sean mills support or oppose measure g?
It’s Mill and I don’t live in the SAUSD so I can’t vote on the measure.
it’s not a smear campaign when the candidate is already stained
You should be the one talking about double speak and wiggling out of questions Sean. Your pathetic defense of Hoa was a text book example of it.
Weak!
Sure, I understand an incumbent supe wanting to avoid a run-off and antagonize as few voters as possible — but if she’s not going to take a position, then chuck the double-talk and just say “I’m not going to a position.”
mr sean. do you support measure g. yes or no. who care where you live. you friend of mr sal who appointed you to comision and kids in area you comision for go to you school. so answer question. yes or no support measure g?
he needs to check with Edgardo first before he can answer that
mr sean. decision you make as planning commision will have effect on housing and school for many year to come. if not willing to support or reject measure g you are weak commision who only look like tool for whoever appoint you. otherwise you just double speak too.
HVW,
First off you can stop with the broken English routine anytime now. Very racist and very typical of many in OC. I realize that race baiting and fear mongering are all the rage around here these days, but really it’s quite tired.
I’ll happily give my position when Janet does. How’s that?
“I’ll happily give my position when Janet does. How’s that?”
Wow Sean, did you think of that one all by yourself? Please stop acting like you are five years old.
The childish behavior from Sean won’t stop. He removed my comment when he saw something that spoke negatively of him, but it’s ok that he accuses someone of faking broken english when in fact they may have. HUGE double standard when it comes to Sean Mill. But Sean, the 4×4 is still waiting for you.
