Yes, Orange County, the longest and possibly most bizarre election battle we’ve ever seen in our lifetimes has FINALLY come to a close. The California Supreme Court denied Trung Nguyen’s appeal. OK, so you don’t believe me? Ask Tomahawk at Red County.
You know, I almost want to shed a tear or four right now. Trung Nguyen has provided us with so much political comedy ever since “the photoshop” first surfaced. And when he & Mike Schroeder decided that they couldn’t allow Janet Nguyen to declare victory in the First Supe race in February 2007, they embarked on a long and bizarre journey of court appeals… All for the State Supreme Court to now declare that the race is over and Janet really did win.
So what will we all do now that Trung Nguyen really didn’t win the First Supe seat in February 2007? What race can Van Tran run him in now? Oh yes, what will Mike Schroeder do? He invested so much in this race, considering how far he’s taken this frivolous lawsuit. Oh well, maybe he can find another silly excuse to sue Debbie Cook.
But anyways, let’s all take a moment of silence to remember Trung Nguyen. Let’s remember al the laughs we had at his expense. Hopefully, we’ll see him running for another office soon… And he’ll provide us with enough theatrics to keep us at the edge of our seats. 😉
