Buy a Ticket for a Chance to Win a House

Irvine is one of the lowest funded school districts in the state; I believe we’re still classified as a “rural” district even though the city’s population is about 200,000. Irvine kids are well under the state average when it comes to funding per pupil but among the top when it comes to test scores on standardized tests. Why? Parents make up for the state’s and federal government shortfalls via aggressive and creative fundraising.

Here’s a plug for the Irvine Public Schools Foundation’s 5th Annual House Raffle. The odds of winning are better than winning the Lotto jackpot.

The Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF) has launched its 5th Annual House Raffle and we would like to ask for your help spreading the word. This is Orange County’s original house raffle and it has raised more then $8 million for educational programs for the 25,000 children in the Irvine Unified School District.
This year, we are privileged to partner with California Pacific Homes to offer a detached home in the Cortile development, which is part of the beautiful, award-winning Irvine community of Woodbury. Once again, The Irvine Company is joining with us as a sponsor of the raffle. Go to http://www.calpacifichomes.com/cortile.php to check out this gorgeous development and see the home.

You can get the official rules and check out all the great prizes, including a brand new Toyota Prius, courtesy of Toyota of Huntington Beach, $25,000 in cash and much more at www.ipsf.net. We’ve even added extra prizes for anyone who buys two or more tickets! Tickets are on sale NOW!! Call the House Raffle Hotline at 949-73-HOUSE (949-734-6873), or visit our website at www.ipsf.net for an order form and more information!

Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD). IUSD is one of the lowest funded unified districts in all of California due to an archaic and unfair funding structure. And with massive budget cuts looming for education, this problem is only going to get worse. IPSF and our schools need your support now more than ever.

Good luck and thank you for your support!
