The California Democratic Party has posted Chairman Art Torres speech to the Executive Board of the California Democratic Party meeting in Anaheim this weekend.
In the his remarks Chairman Torres addressed the issue of censure of Senator Feinstein regarding her votes in the Senate. He related to the Executive Board members his conversation with the Senator regarding her votes and the dissatisfaction among members regarding her positions. He told Senator Feinstein “our party is concerned, and I feel it is my duty as Chairman of this party Senator to let you know that there are deep concerns within our party over two of your votes.”ÂÂ
Senator Torres continued; “Do we have problems with some of Senator Feinstein’s votes? I hope you do, I hope you do! Because that’s a democracy. It is not deserving of a censure. ÂÂ
