What do Dennis Kuncinich and Fred Thompson Have in Common?

While he’s not headlining Friday night’s Truman Dinner for the OCDP, Presidential candidate Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) will be in Anaheim with keynote speaker Senator John Edwards.  Of course, if either of these men get the nomination of the party, they have my support.

But it occurs to men that Rep. Kucinich and former Tennesee Senator and GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson have something in common.

Both men married well.  Wives with eyesight problems I’m guessing.  And neither man has a real shot at winning the nomination of their party.

Republicans talk of “principled” office holders; then they should look at Kucinich who was not only against the war in Iraq from the beginning but consistently votes to stop funding it.  Read the profile on Kuncinich in this month’s Esquire Magazine. It’s great.
