Saturday
10.a.m. Be the Cause will be holding the Walk for Hope Planning Meeting at El Dorado Park. To attend, arrive at the entrance gate and let the parking attendee know that you are volunteering with Be the Cause. Those sweet magic words will do the trick. 11a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Be an active witness for peace! Head over to Laguna Woods for the “Bring the Troops Home Now” rally at the corner of Paseo de Valencia and El Toro Rd, in front of the Washington Mutual Bank. Please park in Long’s drug store area across the street. Citizens of conscience have an opportunity to express their concerns about our purpose and presence in Iraq. 12 p.m. – 3 .p.m. Celebrate “Shared Sacrifice†at the Flag Day Commemoration at El Dorado Park East Area III in the Golden Grove Picnic Area. We will show our sincere appreciation for the sacrifices borne by the soldiers killed in Iraq and the families that have suffered here at home. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students. Proceeds after expenses will be shared with veterans groups in Orange and LA counties.
