Remember a month ago when Assemblyman Chuck DeVore told a group of Republican lawyers that he was “eff-ing†with Democrats with the plan to give a holiday to state environmental laws…attempting to pit Democrats that represent districts that are very concerned about the environment against Democrats that represent districts that are very concerned with creating more housing?

The Democrats read the column and pounced, calling him out on the floor. AB 1096 passed its first committee, but not in the form DeVore had hoped. It now merely calls for the state to research the impacts of some existing CEQA exemptions and report back by 2009. “You made my life a living hell for about a week,†DeVore told me yesterday. “That’s my job,†I said.
Actually, Chuck made his own life a living hell for about a week.
Chuck Devore is a retarded moron. that guy sent me an “official” letter yet it had the banal content of a flyer. it said he was doing this or doing that about senior housing or whatever and im only 21! I know i never voted for him in my life and why he sent me that notice i dont know and i dont care; but i thought it a waste to tell him that. the letterhead looked like an “official” letter from his office.. maybe hes trying to skirt some laws and send free mail? Who knows.
He’s republican and i really loathe the guy.
