Our advertising policy

“Republicans hacked your site!” a frantic voice yelled into the phone?

A reader called me to tell me that he believed a conservative hacker had somehow manipulated TheLiberalOC.com and figured out a way to post an anti-liberal advertisement on the left hand side of this page.

The reader was obviously talking about the Angela McGowan ad that is over there.

But the truth is that she didn’t hack my site, she simply paid me a couple of bucks.

For $10 a week, anyone can post anything they’d like over there. You can even post a “I hate Mike Lawson” ad for all I care.  To buy an ad, you simply need to click here.
My pal d-day has the McGowan advert on his site too, and his readers responded similarly. Here’s what he had to say on his blog about the topic:

Now that I’ve begun to receive a couple Blogads, allow
me to present to you, the reader, the D-Day ad policy:

I don’t have an ad policy.

I believe my readers are adult enough to look at an ad, and accept or reject it on the merits. It’s called the marketplace of ideas.

If you want to give me money that I can funnel to building a progressive majority and passing progressive legislation, I don’t care what wacky idea you’re pushing.

So go ahead and advertise over there. If you need help creating a banner ad, email me and I’ll help.

(By the way, click through to Angela McGowan’s webpage to get a load of the crap that she’s spewing!)

  1. What’s hilarious is that it’s a particularly ugly-looking ad, and Angela doesn’t quite resemble a human being in the picture.
