Rudy Guiliani’s Ego Trip Requirements

Remember the story last year about VP Dick Cheney’s travel requests? (Big Dick wants every TV in the hotel tuned to Fox News of course.)But the Veep is a piker compared to the travel demands of OC Presidential hopeful and thrice-married/twice chated Rudy Guiliani. Check out Hizzonor’s list of demands here.

With all my favorite Republicans so intent criticizing the size of John Edwards house and or Nancy Pelosi’s government jet, perhaps they can explain or justify Rudy’s high profile demands.

  1. Guiliani is nothing compared to Slick Willie Clinton. The Purgerer-In -Chief made nearly $7.5 million in speaking fees last year and sometimes earned as much as $350,000 for a single appearance.

Clinton earned a staggering $650,000 for just two appearances in two days before major gatherings in Canada by motivational speaker Tony Robbins, according to the financial disclosure report filed Wednesday by his wife, New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

  2. Lee —
I’ll give it back to you; learn to spell. It’s “perjuror.”

Clinton isn’t running for office. And I’d challenge you to produce a sheet of demands from him like ones from Guilani or Cheney.

But since you’be wandered onto this lefty blog, there are a number of us who believe President Bush and Vice President Cheney are serial liars. I couldn’t tell you one thing they got right about the war in Iraq.

Bill Clinton, for all his personal faults was a good president. He presided over unprecedented economic growth, a hugh budget surplus, reformed welfare, and we had the respect of the world. I also believe that Mayor Guiliani matches Mr. Clinton affair for affair.

    Enjoy your Kool Aid.

  3. Actually Dan, we were both wrong! Websters & WORD SPELL CHECK both say it is spelled “Perjurer”. So that is a total of 2 wrong for me and about 25-30 wrong for you!

I doubt your friend Slick Willie flies commercial. You can bet he travels in style. After the 1991 Iraq War, Saddam set dozens of oilfields on fire. The American military spent a lot of time and trouble to make sure that didn’t happen again in 2003. Because of a specially trained assault force, it didn’t either. Credit Bush’s people for that. Stop trying to give Clinton credit for things he doesn’t deserve it for. He left office with the economy going into recession. Look at the charts. It is humorous that you would give him credit for welfare reform! The Newt Gingrich Congress is responsible for welfare reform. Democrats as always want give away programs. Slick Willie vetoed welfare reform twice! He only signed a weakened bill on the 3rd try. Slick Willie also didn’t deal with terrorism either. Because he didn’t, we still had Osama Bin Laden to deal with when Bush came into office. Have you heard of 911? 3,000 dead because Slick Willie didn’t do a good job on terrorism. A GOOD PRESIDENT? Of course, he fell for the North Korean sham deal too.

  4. See this link Lee. Both spellings are acceptable.
    http://www.legal-explanations.com/definitions/perjury.htm

Bush 41 was president in 1991 when the oil fields were onfire.

The definition of a recession is two quarters of negative growth; if you want to blame Clinton for the first three weeks of Q1-2001, its a stretch because the recession is Bush’s.

And the bill for Welfare Reform Clinton signed was the most effective and humane; the others proposed by the GOP congress were draconian and without the compassion you conservatives claim.

Sorry, you lost me on 9/11 being Clinton’s fault. Enjoy your Kool Aid.

  5. A dictionary is the commonly accepted authority on how words are spelled not some legal website where they spelled it wrong too. Websters, Word Spell Check and Dictionary.com all say it is spelled PERJURER not perjuror.

That BUSH 41 was president when the oilfields were burned during the 1991 Gulf War is not the issue. Obviously, the point I was making Dan was that Bush’s people learned from what Saddam did the first time & prevented it the 2nd time. That is called GOOD PLANNING.

Apparently, you know nothing about economics. Typically, it takes at least 6 months for policies to affect the economy. The economy was heading downward when Slick Willie left office. In spite of how much you hate Bush, the economy didn’t just drop because he entered office.

Rationalize all you want Dan but Slick Willie like you other Dems didn’t really want welfare reform. That is why he would only sign a weakened welfare bill which the Rep congress pressured him into by mobilizing public opinion.

You Dems throw the words “COMPASSION” and “HUMANE” around when it is someone else’s money that is being wasted. Making these deadbeats get a job was the most humane way of treating these people. The last decade has shown how successful making these people go to work has been. You Dems always want people to be dependent on government so that they are obligated to you.

Clinton had several chances to get Osama Bin Laden and he flinched. 3,000 people were killed on 9/11 because of that. What flavor Kool Aid do you drink?

  6. That’s exactly why you’re a conservative Lee; you see only one way of doing things. That was one legal site..there are dozens more that use the word the same way I spelled it. Open your mind.

I also understand enough of economics to know that no leader cuts taxes as they go to war. FDR asked Americans to sacrifice. Bush asked America to go shopping. Bush took a huge surplus and turned it into massive deficits and our national debt has quadrupled. But I guess you don’t mind that the Communist Chinese, the Saudis and the Japanese own a huge chunk of our country, do you comrade?

You would be the first person I know who associated the Iraq War with the words “good planning.”

Did they plan to win the peace? No.
Did they plan to stop looting? No.
Did they plan to fight an insurgency? No.
Did they have enough troops? No.

But I will give you credit for recognizing what this war was fought for. And that is OIL. The original name for this war was Operation Iraqi Liberation and then someone realized its an acrononym for OIL. So tell me Lee, are Iraqis free today? Sectarian violence abounts. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are dead and the Civil War there has begun.

So if Clinton is responsible for the 3,000 dead on 9/11 does this mean that Bush is responsible for the 3,000 dead since the war begun, and the 5,000 amputees and the 30,000 wounded soldiers? Or will you blame that one on Clinton too?

Instead of Fox News Lee, how about reading some books? I recommend Ghost Wars: A History of Terrorism up until 9/10/2001, State of Denial, and how about the bi-partisan Iraq Study Group report?

There was a high degree of arabic chatter leading up to the 9/11 attack. Our intelligence officers we unable to translate it all in time. We didn’t have enough arabic translators Lee. Do you know why? The Bush administration fired most of them because they were Gay. There’s lots of blame to go around on 9/11 but to lay none of it at Bush’s feet is idiotic.

  7. Only a narrow-minded liberal would claim that legal websites are the authority for spelling instead of a dictionary. Comrade Dan? Your the lefty! Speaking of books, I have read many including lots on terrorism. Try these Dan:

An End To Evil-how to win the war on terror by David Frum
Endgame-blueprint for victory in war on terror by McInerney
    American Jihad by Steve Emerson
Hating America The New World Sport by Gibson
The Bureau & the Mole (Robert Hanssen story) by Vise
    Roosevelt’s Secret War by Persico
    Bias by Bernard Goldberg

Slick Willie agreed to the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell program not Bush. Giving up is not a plan. It is a recipe for defeat. Of course, that is what you liberals want. Apparently, you liberals don’t care about oil being available. I bet your cars only go in reverse because your afraid to move forward.
