Daucher Concedes?

Just talked with a friend that has spent a lot of time at the Registrar the past week, and he told me that the Daucher team packed up at 5 p.m. today and said they probably wouldn’t be back.

There is also a rumor floating around that Daucher (who is currently on “vacation”) called Correa to concede.  When this friend spoke with Correa, he was told that no such call had been received.

This friend also said that concession calls are “overrated” and that I would be wasting my time trying to verify if such a call had been made.

“It’s over,” he said definitively.

  1. So I’m not the only one who’s heard the rumor? A friend called me earlier this evening and told me the same thing. So is Daucher conceding, or not?

  2. Really??!! Is this true? What about all the talk of “Lou cheating”? So, have they now woken up and smelled the coffee… And realized that it’s nearly impossible for Lynn to win 90% of the remaining provisional ballots on Monday?

  3. I really do think that the concession call is more urban legend than anything else. I’ve been involved with at least a dozen campaigns and I’ve never been on the receiving end of a concession call, or even a congratulatory call from a losing opponent. Weird.

  4. While counting votes at the Registrar’s office, I noticed quite a few voting irregularities as far as Provisional ballots are concerned.

I.E. people voting twice, people not marking the last two questions on the ballot, signatures not matching up, etc.

If Lou wins, all I gotta say is congradulations… cause no one steals elections better then the Democrats. But then, I guess that’s why they call it the “democratic” process 😉

  5. Oh Ryan Gene!
Were you trained at all on what to watch for with the Provisionals? Registrar employees were to look for a match in the voter file. Many of these were people who requested, but did not return an absentee ballot. I didn’t see any attempt to vote twice. If you saw this, or did not think signatures were matching, you should have spoken up to challenge these things.
As for failing to mark the last two questions on the ballot, I am confused. I didn’t actually see anyone removing ballots from the envelopes. Did you?

  6. It’s been rumored that Ryan Gene is stupid…and I never believed it until now. Ryan, if you really believe that after the past 6 years of Republicans doing what they have done, that it’s the Democrats that steal elections, I’m glad you lost on November 7th.

Our electeds need to be able to live in reality.
