Because of Santa Ana School Board Member Sal Tinajero’s recent election to the Santa Ana City Council, there will be an open seat on the Santa Ana School Board that will need to be filled.A little liberal leaker has told me that Sal would like to see Armando De La Libertad get appointed to complete Sal’s term. ÂÂ
You may remember De La Libertad from his failed City Council race in 2000, or his attempt at the 69th State Assembly race where he only got 16% of the vote.
De La Libertad hasn’t been too electable in the past few years. Is he appointable? Let’s see if Sal can get the votes to make that happen.
You are spot on. There is probably a little Armando fatigue at this point. If given the chance, voters would not elect him. Bottom line: Let the voters decide.
