A hat tip to Matt Cunningham at OCBlog. If you spend any amount of time reading the comments of popular posts over there, there are a number of lefties chiming in al the time.
This is a positive thing for our democracy. It’s an exchange of ideas. And there are times, I can honestly say I find myself agreeing with something posted by someone way over to the center right. I appreciate that Matt provides this forum on his Blog as Mike does here for the righties.
So thanks Matt.
But what I love about reading the comments from fellow left wingers out there is that we’re standing up for ourselves with the Republican establishment that has been unchallenged for so long. We’re calling them on the carpet and making them state their case. And sometimes, we’re not afraid to tell some right-winger that he or she is full of…..
Good for us. Thank you. You’ve been a great crowd. I’m in New York through Tuesday and Santa Clara through Thursday and back in the good old OC by Thursday afternoon.
I would argue there are slightly more effective and resonant ways to fight back against the Republican establishment than blog posts. I’m taking a hiatus from posting on all blogs but Liberal OC and OC Weekly’s staff blog, The Blotter.
