You really have to feel a little sorry for Lynn Daucher about now. You’ve gotta wonder if she has asked her staff at some point; “Will someone please explain why we shared a booth with known anti-immigrant-racist Tan Nguyen in downtown Santa Ana?â€Â
I found this post over at Orange Juice Blog.
OC GOP at Fiestas de las Americas in Santa Ana
Saturday, September 16, 2006 by Art Pedroza
What a day! The OC GOP, Assemblywoman Lynn Daucher, who is running for the 34th Senate District, and Congressional candidate Tan Nguyen together purchased a booth at the Fiestas de las Americas, which was held today in downtown Santa Ana. The event is held annually and it commemorates the independence of Latin American countries, most notably Mexico, which celebrates its Independence Day on September 16.
Then we have Mike Lawson’s notable take on the irony of Tan’s participation.
Come on – you’re going to blame her for associating with a fellow Elephant, back before Tan was making headlines?
That’s awfully Republican of you.
Alex,
I think that we can’t ignore the racist undertones that have accompanied Nguyen’s campaign from the get-go.
For a candidate to support Tan, and to then be “shocked” that he would have done something so low, is untruthful.
The Tan Nguyen for Congress campaign has been headed down this dark & seedy path since last spring.
