One of the most competitive races

This 34th State Senate race is being called one of the most competitive races in California right now. To prove it, just look at the mail that’s pouring in.

Yesterday I got a Lou Correa for State Senate magnet and a letter from Correa that says:

I understand our common problems in neighborhoods. I live them.

I frequently drop and pick up my kids from school (my wife works too). So the importance of street safety is always on my mind. It’s why I’ve always been a champion of the police officers and firefighters, and why they’ve supported me time and time again.

We also got some Lynn Daucher mail this weekend. One piece in particular caught my eye:

Claudio Gallegos from The Orange Juice Blog wrote about this mailer:

Like most Republicans, [Daucher] has decided to revert to wedge issues and hate tactics to win this election. In two mailers she attacks Lou Correa for voting on a gay rights bill. In one mailer, she essentially claims that Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgenders who served bravely in the Armed Forces are a waste.

Read Claudio’s entire post here.

I can’t wait to see who wins this one.
