Happy to be home

I spent the last week at my parents’ house in Arizona. They live in an unincorporated part of Maricopa County nestled right between nothing and nothing.

My parents are both Republicans, my dad gets most of his “news” from Bill O’Reily, and at one point in a conversation he was telling me that our country is safer because of NSA wiretapping, and all Democrats do is sit around and blame George W. Bush for creating hurricane Katrina.

Before getting in the car for an hour trip, my Dad said looking at his watch, “Oh good, just in time for Sean Hannity.”

Needless to say, I’m very happy to be home.

  1. Maybe spending some time under a Republican roof will cause you to start using your head and thinking clearly. Do you think this is possible MIke?

  2. Maybe spending some time on a progressive blog, anonymous 12:31, will cause you to clear your head of that radical right-wing propaganda. Do you think this is possible, 12:31?

  3. Commandante.

I doubt it. Sean Hannity is one of those GOP crap fountains who believes the willingness to die for the causes he believes in should be someone else.

He was old enough to sign up for military service just prior to the Iraq War. And oddly he’s never felt compelled to serve his country.

If he is the only one threatening Pelosi, she’s safe.
